Were you sad when you found that you had to shop in the toddler section for clothing?

I went to buy some new clothes for my son who is 8 months at Target the other day and immediately went to the “infant” section. I found myself sad that his size is in the toddler section now. He’s in 12M clothing. Am I the only ridiculous mother that feels like this?

My toddler’s clothes have different washing instructions, but I usually just do one big load. Is this bad?

I usually wash my toddler’s clothes in one load, since there aren’t that many. I don’t wash hers with ours because I don’t use fabric softener with hers because she can get eczema on her skin. but some of her clothes have different washing instructions, ie: cold water, gentle cycle, etc. could my washing them all in one load be causing them to shrink or not last as long? should I be washing them more-so according to instructions, even if my load is really small?
someone questioned, why change things if they are working? well, I only question because I reckon her clothes might be shrinking a bit because I wash them all in one regular load on warm water. she is so dang tall for her age that she grows out of clothes quickly. if I can extend their lifetime by keeping them from shrinking, then I’d like to!

so thank you for the answers so far. maybe I should use cold water gentle on them all. does warm water cause shrinkage then?

By this I don’t mean “the Mall” as I reckon it’s just foolish to spend “Gap”, “Gymboree”, “Tommy”, “The Children’s Place” etc. on kids when they grow up so quick. Who has excellent quality kids clothes that are affordable? Ancient Navy? Target? Shopko? Kmart? Walmart? Kohl’s? JCPenny?

Buying baby/toddler clothes…..?

I want to buy my grandbaby clothes for next summer while they are on sale now. Not sure what size the guestimate though. She is 10 1/2 months ancient, and in 12 mo. pants, and 12-18 mo. in tops now. Would 24 months or 2T be a excellent guess for next summer???

Safety pins and toddler clothes?

I like to buy my sons pants a few sizes larger so he can wear them longer. He is 18 months and now he is walking and his pants are too long and won’t stay rolled up. I was wondering if anyone has had any negative experience with using safety pins. I did consider hemming the pants but I am worried it will ruin the pants for when he grows into them. Thanks
